Odystria: Curseforge Modpack | NeoForge Server
Odystria is a Minecraft 1.21.1 CurseForge modpack and NeoForge Server influenced the by tenet that some players want survival MC to feel more like an adventure. It’s not just a game about building big castles or running obstacle courses. A true and proper adventure awaits for those willing to seek it, and Odystria aims to acknowledge that.
Our modpack and server are both rooted in the four core pillars of questing, colonization, trade, and travel. We aim for this server to feature MMO-style questing gameplay (thanks to CustomNPCs) and RTS-style strategy gameplay (thanks to MineColonies), with a robust in-game economy and real-time travel options rather than quick and easy teleports. If you want to visit a place, pack a bag and head out by land, sea, or air thanks to an assortment of special vehicular mods.

questing, colonization, trade, and travel
Your adventure begins in the Capital City of Gerthia. You’re little more than an impoverished street urchin without a single coin in your pocket. You can exit the city at any time and head out into the world to make your own way. Or, you can engage in quests, earn coin, and perhaps make a name for yourself in the process. We intend to add new quests as regularly as free time and inspiration will warrant.
When you do feel like heading out into the world of Odystria, feel free to build wherever you like … so long as you understand that if a player builds a colony to close to you, your home may be absorbed by their fledgling empire. Alternatively, you can join the colonies of others and raise a nation together, or seek out a suitable location to build your own colony that others can join.
Operating a colony isn’t cheap and it isn’t easy. You’ll need resources, which also means selling that which you have an abundance of. You can build player-owned shops in Gerthia and elsewhere, produce and stockpile your goods, advertise to other players, and start a business all your own. Negotiate trade agreements with other colonies. Engage in vast supply quests found around the world, putting your entire colony to work for big gains.
Ready to travel? You can walk or ride, and build roads. If you need to haul more items, consider using a cart or a wagon … both are available to you as well, if you can craft them of course. Hoping for improved speed? Consider building a ship and sailing, or take to the skies in airplanes and airships. You can even explore the ocean’s depths in a submarine or with scuba gear.
